Donald Trump Today: Federal Employees may have to Prove they didn’t have another job during their employment with the US Gov't. If they did, that would be UNLAWFUL

When I’m working from home for a company, I’m expected to dedicate my time to that company. If I am instead using company time working a second job, that is stealing time. At a minimum I would expect to be fired from both jobs.

I’m sure it is, but what makes you think it’s being ignored?

Nope. Unless your employer has a written company rule that forbids it and you agree.

You said seriously and then didn’t cite the statute that makes it unlawful.

No he pled to a scam. It’s not unlawful. Unethical and unlawful aren’t the same thing

What should be done in the case of an employee whose workplace is Washington, DC, but they spend much or most of their time in FL, often playing golf during the work day?

We aren’t talking about the law. We are talking about company policy.

The OP is. We is me and the OP. It’s in the thread title and everything.

I heard somewhere that reading is fundamental. Seriously

The employee who went to Italy on holiday sounds like a complete tool and proabably is an active poster on the antiwork subreddit.

Though why a tech company does not have the infrastructure to know where he is logging in from is beyond me.

I took my work laptop to England and within minutes of logging in I was contacted by my IT security team asking why I was logging in from the UK. They also notified my manager. Luckily I had all the right approvals to take my laptop out of country.

This will be my third time, so please listen carefully.

I don’t care what the thread title says. With my response, I personally am talking about company policy not the law. For that reason, there is no statute for me to quote.

For the third time. You engaged with me over a question that you didn’t answer. If you had simply said you don’t believe it to be unlawful that’s fine. But instead you used “seriously” as if it was me who brought up the legality of the matter

Do we really have to do this a fourth time? I don’t know whether it is lawful or not and I certainly don’t care. With my response, I chose to focus on company policy. My seriously GIF was aimed at your continued insistence that I provide a statute. It is irrelevant given my focus.

This is just a Trump distraction. And the cultist eat it up.

Attack, attack, attack, admit nothing, deny everything, and always claim victory and never admit defeat.

The orange crack cult used the word cult as a projection.

Mouse jigglers unite.

■■■■■■■ mouse jigglers, anyone who uses on and expects to think it will somehow fool anyone long term deserves to be fired.

I dont buy into the old fashioned grind put work first mentality but that does not mean I am lazy or not doing my job to a high standard.

Most large employers are beginning to understand the importance of down time from work. Sure at times grind is needed but its not a permanent way of life,

We went from saving lives with masks and vaccines that don’t REALLY work to mouse jigglers so you can be REALLY productive at home.

Its only those with a vested interest in real estate, trying to make some ludicrous political point or living in a world that no longer exists who is against WFH.

With proper guardrails and an investment in the proper IT infrastructure WFH is a win for everyone.

I go into my office a minimum of 1 day per week sometimes more as does my team. Being in the office ironically is my least productive day.

It will create a social and psychological dystopia and is horribly unproductive.

Jiggle Jiggle.
