I will agree that Russia was behind the hacks and the releasing of the information.

The article says these 2 identities were created to distribute the hacks DCLeaks’ and ‘Guccifer 2.0’
The Hackers all worked apparently with the GRU and the hacks were given to the GRU to distribute the e-mails
So as I said Guccifer 2.0 is not a SINGLE GRU officer it is most likely Multiple people running the accounts hence why their was a Mistake in the IP Masking when one of them distributed the e-mails.
Which does conflict a bit since the are claiming that Guccifer 2.0 is 1 Intelligence officer. I would logically speculate that much like people in our own government they use accounts that multiple people can use to post items. So to think Russia doesn’t do the same is idiotic.

It’s a fake persona, being operated by a unit. One with orders.
It’s not an individual, even if an individual within the unit is the one doing the actual day-to-day of running the account. Hell, one member of that unit named Boris might have called in sick one day and then his colleague Sven took over.

I went from thinking he was purposefully spreading misinformation to realizing he’s very very confused by the idea of a intelligence units operating a single persona. And now the confusion of thinking DCleaks is a person.
