Would you feel the same if bootleggers were selling poisonous booze to willing consumers?

Looking back on it, the greatest incidence of poisoning by alcohol was intentionally done as a matter of government policy during prohibition.

Denaturing alcohol (thus making it poisonous) was not done covertly. The product was (and is) clearly labeled “MAY BE FATAL IF SWALLOWED”.

Fentanyl makes heroin etc. a hundred times more dangerous than it already is. I’m not sure there is any advantage in adding it. Killing people left and right has got to harm sales. it’s not unlike if they were purposely killing people rather than selling a “quality” product that keeps people addicted like “the old days”. You don’t get rrepeat customers if they are dead.
