The house can impeach, but only the Senate can put him on trial and remove him from office. Hardly nothing if his supporters are angered enough by the false charges and harrassment he’s faced since day one, to re-elect him.

Oversight is limited to areas where the congress has a legitimate legislative interest.

This isn’t oversight, is an anal exam and fishing expedition and an assault on the separation of powers.

The President using his office to personally ask a foreign head of state to investigate his political opponent in order to influence an upcoming election isn’t a legitimate interest to Congress?

If someone other then a Biden was suspected of such corruption, would the president have the authority, and perhaps even a responsibility to have it investigated?

The Senate will not remove Trump, based on what is known now.
For that to happen, something really earthshaking will have to come out of the House impeachment hearings.

A US President calling a foreign head of state and asking for a “favor” to investigate his own likely political opponent in an upcoming US election while simultaneously halting military aid to that country isn’t earthshaking enough?

The longer Trump stays in office, the more he makes his base look like a cult. There simply isn’t anything that Trump could do that would make him lose his most devoted following.

Sure there is. He’d have to do something worse then what Democrats have been doing for decades. That’s why Democrats are scared, because they know that’s almost impossible…

They’re pretending to be ignorant about something so simple. But when it comes to Hillary they weave an intricate story of conspiracy and believe every word of it. I can’t stand these nonsense, hypocritical games they’re playing.

I’d prefer some intellectual honesty from Trump supporters… If they said “I believe Trump can do whatever he wants to MAGA” or something like that I’d actually respect that more than what they’re doing now.

Think about it. Even before he took office, the Democrats had already targeted him for the biggest witch Hunt in political history. Maxine Waters began calling for impeachment from day one he took office.

Trump had some things going for him that no other candidate ever had, namely that he was not a Washington politician. His promise was to drain the swamp and that scared the hell out of BOTH sides of the political aisle. He made other promises too and has been working to fulfill them. Point is, he built enough of a base to get him elected despite the odds, and the political machine trying to keep him out.

Does ANYONE believe he is going to lose his base over the lies put forth by Democrats? In the other hand, were any never Trumpers ever going to vote for him, no matter what he did or does?

His base is cheering him on in exposing the multiple felonies and abuses of power committed under and by Obama and his regime. We want SOMEONE to be held accountable, it won’t be Obama, Hillary, Holder, Lynch, Comey, Mueller, Strick or Page or anyone at the IRS or any other departments weaponized and used against Republicans, conservatives or anyone deemed a threat to the powers that be. We’ll settle for bringing down Joe, and watching him dodder off into the sunset of senility.

The thing that Democrats are hoping for is to sway enough independents and undecideds to go and pull that lever for left wing whack job Warren. I don’t see that happening. Do you?

They are hoping to remove him from office because they don’t think they can beat him at the ballot box.

Well, since half the corruption was done by the Ukrainians, why shouldn’t he ask them to investigate from their end too? If Joe is innocent then all’s well that ends well. Right?
