Republicans love investigations. It seems like they have one every week. Comer and Jordan go on Fox and they talk about all of this evidence they have. Then nothing. The “investigation” just disappears. Now they’re going after two more crooks. Comey and Brennan. So how will this play out? Will it simply disappear like all the rest? Or, since this is the FBI this time not the congressional blowhards will we actually see something come of this?

I’m not sure where to go with this one since it’s the FBI this time. Not the same collection of blowhards. So I’m not sure if I should judge Kash based on what the goofballs in congress did. But I’m not confident either.

Even if they got indicted and went to trial, it would be in a DC district with a leftist liberal jury who would not convict because those on the elitist left in DC (and NYC) are in fact above the law.

Bondi missed badly on the Epstein list so now the administration is trying to find anything to distract from that debacle.

An FBI lawyer changed emails to mean the exact opposite, then Comey took this evidence to a FISA Judge who issued a FISA warrant to spy on the Trump campaign. This is proven and undisputed. Now…who went to jail? Where’s the duped Judge? Things that should make you say hmmmmmmm…

Your first sentence sets a bad tone for the thread.
It’s not just a Republican thing.
Our culture wants investigations. Left. Right. Center. We have become a culture focused on what’s wrong with the other side. A culture of tearing down. And cycle after cycle we amplify the call for hammering the other side.
And then along comes this one. It’s an investigation into the tactics and efforts used to hammer the other side.
I’m tired of the cycles. I want the ride to stop. Yet I also don’t want to leave the impression that people can do anything they want and get away with it.
All I can do is vent. Shout at the sky, really.
I’m sick of it all.

Didn’t Trump just let a New York politician off the hook? This standard response is seen often, a lib jury would never etc etc. Didn’t help Connolly.
They spent a few years “investigating” Trump-Russia collusion…that turned out to be nothing more than rage porn for lonely zealots. I doubt this will have any different results.
