and while that can temporarily delay it, it cannot stop the ambitions. What we are doing now can do either or both
all but defeated. the war was won before it started. 3 more weeks is reasonable for this phase, whether there’s another phase will depend on the Iranians themselves. The straight is not out problem. Bottom line is we don’t need it open, and he’s right, it will open when this is over anyway. If the plan was always to weaken the regime enough to allow the Iranians to throw off the yoke (which it was) any closing of the straight was temporary and would take care of itself when they do.

as for the stone age, depends. Taking out their power could aid the resistance. taking out transfer stations can do that and is more easily repairable down the line. Taking out their ability to finance by selling oil really only amounts to disabling the pumping station at Kharg Island

It’s a figure of speech used primarily by the military to describe the results of an air and artillery barrage conducted on an objective. During my thrilling days of yesteryear whilst training for a Soviet incursion down the Fulda Gap our Battalion Commander would repetitively say: “ If Ivan and his inbreds come down this flatland we will bomb and shell them BACK TO THE STONE AGE”! When the Boss said that some brain cells were energized and fond memories came flooding back
