In the example I gave you with Adam Kinzinger, he proudly serves the 16th district of Illinois. Made up of 14 counties that stretch from Illinois northern to eastern borders. It includes everything from big towns like Rockford and DeKalb to smaller cities like Gibson City, Bradford and Ashton.
Illinois is losing a district. From what I’ve read, his district was redrawn to put him in the same district as a trump sycophant and he didn’t want to deal with the primary fight. Happens all the time when states lose districts.
