Attorney General William Barr confirmed Tuesday during Congressional testimony that the Department of Justice will release special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia report to the public “within a week.”
“I do think it’s important that the public has the opportunity to learn the results of the special counsel’s work… You’ll recognize that I’m operating under a regulation that was put together during the Clinton administration to not provide for the publication of the report, but I’m relying on my own discretion,” said the Attorney General.
“This process is going along very well… My original timetable for a mid-April release stands. Within a week I’ll be in a position to release the report to the public,” he added.
