I like DOGE. It’s what you do before raising or lowering taxes, stamp out the waste. Before they audit one more taxpayer, they should finish a complete audit of the government those payments are funding.

You might be unaware of this… but there are entire organizations tasked with auditing the Government. Have been around for years.
All Doge is doing is haphazardly shutting down programs they don’t like. They haven’t found a bit of fraud yet (although it definitely exists, just not where they are looking so far).

When a congressional committee tried to evaluate what USAID was doing, they were essentially told to go pound sand by the agency. Who was going to investigate these agency payments, the Biden administration?
When Biden left, it appears that his administration tried to bind as much funding and hire as many Biden friendly people as possible before Trump took over. If true, this even included handing over billions to a bank to dole out “green” money in the future, during Trumps term and doubtless against Trumps will.
Therefore, time was off the essence to reverse the residual actions of the Biden administration that the current administration found counter to their policies, if not literally unauthorized by congress.
There was likely no time to work with congress to set up some new agency to carry this out.
If any parts are not legal, the courts will decide that.
