Department Of Government Efficiency (DOGE)

They didn’t actually produce any evidence of how many were on auto renewal

More importantly multi billion dollar contract that expired without any renewal claimed by doge as a savings.

Claims of billions in savings but if they saved any money that’s a good thing….

If libs would only care about all that money that was saved. It doesn’t matter that doge made up numbers. Claimed credit for expiring non renewed contracts.

They saved some money somewhere!

As I’ve said from the beginning, DOGE was a joke because it refused to take on any of the things that are really driving our debt. Get back to me when someone in power seriously proposes cutting back significantly on the military, healthcare, and social security. Until then it’s all just performative politics.

Right. The boys are back in town. My party is not the ones who threw gold bars off the Titanic.

It made for great kabuki theater.

Your party is the ones who’ve wasted and spent like drunken sailors, and the Trump Administration is taking too long to clean up your mess?

Even little cuts made libs set their hair on fire. (NPR, for example.)

ANY cuts make them stumble to the fainting couch.

All the while trying to cast aspersion on efforts to make cuts.

Not true. Cuts made without a plan or any forethought can ultimately cause more problems than the actual spending. What DOGE did was cut things without thinking to make it seem like they were doing something.

I’m fine with cutting spending. But have a plan and a reason for why you’re cutting it.

USAID cuts and pauses were a good idea

Public radio and television given the size of the audience were fine as well

Reducing bureaucracy is always a great move

But those aren’t shiny and bright.

Unless it’s billions and a website with a running number the audience don’t care but it’s the libs fault

Wow, that’s an impressively dumb post. I don’t have a party, and I didn’t say Trump was taking too long to do anything. He has spent as much or more than any Democratic administration and quite obviously has no intention or desire to actually reduce spending. The DOGE cuts were ideological, not fiscal.

Of course, because Democrats support public media, not because cutting their funding saved money. Like I said, ideological, not fiscal.

Spending is up under trump.

In his first term he added about 4T to the debt before covid and about 4T after covid.

The rest of your reply was wasted pixels.

Every dollar cut was fiscal, by definition.

The cuts were not made with the intention of saving money, they were made to serve ideology. This administration has no interest in reducing spending.

Have you seen how much faster Donald has spent this year, and how quickly he added to the permanent debt? Harder and faster and sweatier than ever before. Quickest and highest spending ever. I would call the Trump administration the Kings of Drunken Sailors, but I don’t want to insult drunken sailors, who at least do an honest day’s work.

So federal spending is down from one year ago? Let’s see.

Expected opinion of a lib.

It’s a fact, btw.
