Department Of Government Efficiency (DOGE)

Yeah, the only thing he did was ■■■■ up our global influence.

And the seals all clap…

And killed millions of the world’s poorest people in the process.

MAGA is like that because Trump is like that.

DOGE cuts will cost us 135 Billion.

No one cares?

The maga crowd will either just ignore this or say but biden.

The ending of USAID will be a stain on this administration for decades to come.

The only stain is that it ever existed to begin with.

The real issue here is, you said something that could be considered kind about Trump. It wasn’t about how true it was.

DOGE is a spectacular example of using reality show antocs as a way to fool people that somehow they were doing something of substance woth real lasting impact.

Double-counting. DOGE took credit for canceling the same Department of Energy grant twice, adding $500 million in duplicate savings.

Timeline errors. One contract that DOGE claimed credit for ending had actually been terminated by the Biden administration, weeks before DOGE began its work. Three more items on DOGE’s list had simply expired. These were pandemic-era contracts with pharmacies that provided free Covid-19 testing for the uninsured. They were originally allowed to spend up to a combined $12.2 billion, but they never came close to that level. Then, in May, the three contracts ended on schedule. DOGE still claimed credit for killing them, highlighting $6 billion in savings. Misclassifications. Seven programs that DOGE claimed to have terminated are not dead, including four that were resurrected by court rulings.

Exaggerations. In 16 cases, DOGE greatly exaggerated its cuts. Many, including those two large Defense Department contracts, relied on an accounting trick that produced “savings” with little real-world effect. DOGE lowered the official “ceiling value” of contracts — reducing the theoretical limit on what the government could eventually pay — without changing its actual spending.

Best president since Reagan

DOGE may have actually done some good if they started at the DOD aka Department of War. Maybe find enough savings to accommodate the increase in budget of 150B.

"The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) — formerly run by Elon Musk — ends 2025 with strikingly divergent results around its two primary goals.

On one front, government payroll numbers are down this year by about 9%, from 3.015 million federal workers in January to 2.744 million in November.

At the same time, government spending hasn’t slowed, despite Musk’s promises there. A tool from the Brookings Institution’s Hamilton Project tracks government money headed out the door in real time and shows outlays as of Dec. 19 have risen from $7.135 to 7.558 trillion."

If they aren’t spending $$$ on employees, where the ■■■■ is it going?

There is no “Doge” bonus. Donald cannot spend our cash fast enough. There is no reductions in debt or deficit.

There is just a reduction in the quality of service, which is the conservative playbook. Make government suck so people don’t mind when you privatize it to get your hands on the public money.

DOGE also has contributed to the weakening of our influence on the world by blowing up USAID. And that is just incredibly dumb.

The AP said the data published on DOGE’s “Wall of Receipts” shows that more than one-third of the contract cancelations, 417 in all, are expected to yield no savings. The publication assesses that, in most cases, that’s because the total value of the contracts has already been fully obligated, meaning the government has a legal requirement to spend the funds for the goods or services it purchased and in many cases has already done so.

A White House official told Fox News Digital, however, that many of the contracts were on auto-renewal, suggesting DOGE would still be saving taxpayers money in the long run by canceling the contracts it deems wasteful.

“DOGE is identifying waste that most Americans never knew existed. That is a good thing,” the official said. “Also, many of these contracts were also on auto-renew – so DOGE is preventing tax dollars from being wasted on these scams in the future.”

A DOGE spokesperson told Federal News Network on Tuesday that DOGE and its longer-term, tech-aligned counterpart, the U.S. DOGE Service, both remain — and that the latter organization is moving forward with a full slate of modernization projects.

The spokesperson, in response to written questions, confirmed DOGE still exists as a temporary organization within the U.S. DOGE Service, and that Amy Gleason remains the acting administrator of USDS.

Doge ----- the idea ain’t going nowhere. As long as the Conservatives have the majority, there will be organized initiatives like "THE US DOGE Service that remains to fight government waste, fraud and abuse.
