They have a LOT of other taxes there. A LOT. Gasoline is crazy taxed. That’s just ONE. There’s a lot of taxes way higher than here. 60% That’s about $10 a gallon.
Oh, & guess what, when the oil plays out, the taxes are going to go way up. A lot more, unless they cut back on their social programs.

Sure … It’s a matter of priorities. We could easily fund all those social programs if we quit maintaining a military world class, building and maintaining infrastructure, being involved in space programs, and giving tons of money to other countries, without raising taxes.
