Democrat Politicians & Sanctuary Cities

Your response does not change the fact that a warrant is not required in all cases to detain someone. When a detainer is issued, probable cause is supposed to exist.

Those who promote democracy, as opposed to our constitutionally limited Republican Form of Government, are, in general, advocates of mob rule government, and they despise rights associated with property ownership in addition to fearing the liberty of all being free to mutually agree in their contracts and associations.

Getting back to the original question involving sanctuary city officials.

It was asked “How can they [sanctuary city officials] harbor if they don’t know an individuals’ immigration status? It’s out of their jurisdiction.”

And the answer was: They know when a detainer is issued by ICE which these city officials ignore in order to harbor illegal entrants.

SEE: 8 U.S. Code § 1324 - Bringing in and harboring certain aliens

(A)Any person who—

(iii)knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that an alien has come to, entered, or remains in the United States in violation of law, conceals, harbors, or shields from detection, or attempts to conceal, harbor, or shield from detection, such alien in any place, including any building or any means of transportation;

(II)aids or abets the commission of any of the preceding acts,
shall be punished as provided in subparagraph (B).

There is no surer way to weaken, subdue, demoralize and then conquer a prosperous and freedom loving people than by allowing and encouraging the poverty stricken, poorly educated, low-skilled, criminal and diseased populations of other countries to invade that country, and make the country’s existing citizens tax-slaves to support the economic needs of such invaders.

#46

No one made the assertion it’s needed in all cases. It IS needed in this case. The burden is on the local government, and since they don’t provide the probably cause and are just relying on ICE, the prudent thing is to require a warrant. Otherwise, they can get smacked with a lawsuit for unconstitutional detainment (which HAS happened).

It has even happened in cases the person who is detained is a ■■■■■■■ US citizen.

Get a ■■■■■■■ warrant.

#47

LMAO… So you don’t know? Come on man, this well established law… A legal expert, such as yourself, should be able to state that easily… Are there any other circumstances where you believe people should be detained without the judiciary being involved?

#48

Oddly, your VERY argument get’s smacked down in federal court after federal court across the country.

#49

Thats like saying if you are against gun control you are pro senseless murder by guns.

#50

Yeah. a poster wants a link to what you stated and you give google bad form.

#51

That because that is FEDERAL law (enforced by the FEDS). A state or a city is NOT in charge of its enforcement. just like the fugitive slave act.

I am not your law clerk, nor will I entertain your distractions.

Politically speaking, a fully informed citizen in today’s society is one who diligently gathers their news from MSNBC and Fox News, i.e., opposing points of view.

#53

Why is the administration not charging these cites/counties/states with harboring? It’s been two years since Trump took office. Is he weak?

#54

Another innuendo. What “arguments” ?

Wasn’t there something in the Amendments that said something
about the states having individual right as well though?

Like that the government wasn’t suppose to touch?

#57

If you are really that interested, send a letter to the White House at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave NW, Washington, DC 20500, and ask your questions.

American citizens are sick and tired of being made into tax-slaves to finance a maternity ward for the poverty stricken populations of other countries who invade America’s borders to give birth.

#58

Who enjoys paying for illegal immigrants for them to live in this country?

I don’t think that most taxpayers would want their money going for them.

#59

You and Bernadette Lancelin are spot on!

We need to worry about our own citizens before those invading our borders.

JWK

Illegal immigration is now costing American citizens over $18 billion a year in healthcare costs alone! Far more than the measly $5.7 billion asked for to build a wall! LINK

#60

Cool.

Yeah, ultimately a border wall would save Americans a lot more money in the end.
I think that Republicans are looking for the long haul, and Democrats are thinking
5.7 billion!!! ?

Conservatives are thinking 18 billion minus 5.7 billion!!! lol.

This guy is some what like the Clintons. He’s the gift that keeps giving, and is
funny to laugh at. This Philly Mayor.

All of this would probably not be possibly if it weren’t for Trump.
With him in office so many things have come out of the woodwork,
and it’s an honor to watch.

You think slavery is grasping at straws?
