Deficits as far as the eye can see!

I don’t get it? Bidenomics is supposed to be the greatest economic force the country has ever experienced, how is something like this even possible?

https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/news/treasury-just-dropped-a-financial-bomb-but-bidenomics-means-the-worst-is-yet-to-come/ar-AA1iOrMB?ocid=msedgntp&cvid=665be26ef18246c1b9e481fb3020da19&ei=48

the Treasury Department drop a financial bomb: the deficit for fiscal year 2023 was $1.7 trillion, growing 23 percent in a single year as the Treasury used $879 billion just to service the federal debt. But Bidenomics means the worst is yet to come, and multi-trillion-dollar deficits are the new normal.

Well Trump did say he was going to eliminate the debt, not the deficit mind you but the entire debt. Then he went ahead and added to the debt. But hey maybe this time he will do it. :joy:

Deficits are historically the only thing libs care about.

Probably only when it goes down though, not up through the stratosphere. :man_shrugging:

Justification for raising my taxes.

We pay out the ass for their poor decisions.

You would think deficits are something new reading this thread. Both parties have been running up the tab for decades now - and both parties only care about deficits when they’re not in power.

This should be obvious by now…

One party runs it up a little faster.

The budget cannot be balanced without come combination of

  • cutting so-called “mandatory” programs &
  • increasing revenues

Congress could
eliminate the entire defense department,
eliminate every road project, & bridge project,
eliminate every subsidy to Joe Biden’s solar friends, &
eliminate all education spending including student loans,
and we STILL would not balance the budget

I was told by a member of this very forum today…that Biden has lowered deficit spending. Since he hasn’t posted in this thread I can’t call him out.

Lets put this into perspective…Trump highest deficit not counting covid spending was just under a trillion dollars. Biden deficit after Covid is 1.3 trillion last year to 1.7 trillion this year.

But libs here will make it Trump fault…right libs?

So libs…since you all care about our deficit…list of programs that should be cut. Go ahead and name em.

I was wrong about 2022. I thought it was a bigger number. But it was only 2021 that was a bigger number

So it went 2021 bigger than 2022 smaller than 2023 bigger again

Not trumps fault. Biden’s spending fault

You guys only care about the deficit when dems are in power

See how easy that is

Trump doubled pre pandemic deficit as compared to the evil Obama so here we are

By the way before everybody jumps up and down. I wasn’t the one the who brought up Trump.

Let see those deficit threads from the Trump years.

That is certainly true of GOP Congressmen.
I see no reason to believe it applies to rank=and-files like us here in Hannityland.

All those deficit threads during the Trump years

All those economic deep dive during the Trump years.

Come on now.

I don’t know. Dems have been spending like drunken sailors on all that green nonsense.

I’m all for alternative energy, but the technology is not there yet to use it in mass. Until it is we use the technology we have which means oil.

Then what was the gop spending it on when it doubled in four years before the pandemic hit?

I remember people complaining about the covid spending. And it looks like they were right.

Yes i remember that too. I don’t disagree there. People who usually supported Trump even criticized him for proposing larger stimmies.

Yeah I was wrong too. There was two libs that claimed it.

As for Trump deficit thread…look it up. I bet you will find me saying it’s concern. Pretty boy failed us as for cutting more of government spending.

Who is pretty boy you ask…Pail Ryan. Remember him?
