To put it into Aussie parlance, I would categorise the questions posed as Dorothy Dixers.
The editorial page of The Wall Street Journal and other right-leaning commentators have echoed the same argument, blaming large numbers of migrants crossing the southern border for the latest spike in COVID-19 cases.

This has become a widely spread talking point of the right. When our real problem remains the unvaccinated folks. And you noted a number of Democrats not wearing masks that are on video. Sure, they take off their masks when talking to the press. Because the press is vaccinated. And mask requirements are in effect at the capitol. And at government buildings in some states. Has there been any data on high outbreaks of Covid by politicians?

I don’t say most of the increase in Covid is due to illegal aliens with Covid. Obviously some Covid cases are due to the spread by illegals. How many deaths is it worth to allow people to enter the country illegally?

How are we allowing people to enter illegally? The border patrol is doing the best job that they can. The laws have not changed. Yes there is a surge. But it has been shown that much of the serge is because of lies being told to illegals about security at the border. Turnarounds and returns are constant at the same levels when Trump was POTUS. And in four years he didn’t get a whole lot of miles of new fence put up, like he said and now lies about.

Also, don’t forget that a whole bunch of folks that come over the border illegally run towards law enforcement and ask for amnesty. Our real problem is that if folks coming in here illegally are from Mexico we can immediately turn them around and send them back home. But if they are from another country other then Mexico they are required to go through our court system. And we simply do not have enough judges and staff to handle the load. It is a real problem that Congress does not want to entertain. .
Trump had an agreement with Mexico starting in June 2019…you stop serving as a conduit for illegals and we won’t raise tariffs on your goods. It worked to slow down crossings…until Biden. What, you thought it was just a coincidence that the surge started when Biden took over?

Then Democrats need to change that rule and advise Mexico they will accept them back, or else. This is not something that can’t be corrected, like a law of nature.

The Democrats have not changed the rules. And they are getting blasted by immigration groups.
Again, look and see what border laws are currently in affect. Almost all of the Trump era immigration laws are still in affect.
It went into effect in June of 2019. Immediately, border crossings shrank dramatically. Yes, I have checked that. Have you checked what happened to border contacts as soon as Biden took over?

The threat to raise tariffs is clearly no longer in affect or there would be no trade between Mexico and the US.
Is what Trump negotiated still in affect? What border laws or rules did Biden change?
Is the threat of tariffs still in affect? Did Mexico cancel any of the Trump agreements?
Is Mexico still working with us on these issues?
Read the agreement. If it were in effect there would be no trade with Mexico.
As far as “ remain in Mexico” that is to be restored soon by court order.

Really great deflection! However, in literally ZERO of the videos that have surfaced are of politicians talking to the press. Nancy Pelosi in a hair salon, which BTW opened solely for her. Gavin Newsome in a swanky restaurant. Lori Lightfoot standing in the middle of a shoulder to shoulder crowd after a sporting event. And on and on. But YOU MUST OBEY!!
Take the mask off your eyes so you can pay attention to what your leaders are doing, but by all means slip it down over your mouth and nose whenever you even speak about those politicians so worthy of your reverent exultation, because we can SEE how so very concerned they are about YOUR OBEDIENCE and safety.
