I’m with you on this, “no harm” /=/ “good”. The way I see it, enough people smoke the ■■■■ now that if it were legal it would make little difference to society as a whole. neither good nor bad
The illegal sales of pot are essentially gone. There’s no money in it for them anymore; weed of the same quality is way cheaper than it used to be. And the state coffers get a good chunk of change (which, like all their revenue I wish they’d spend more wisely).
Make Pesticide and Herbicide Schedule One. Pot is loaded with it, like all plants since that crap became the norm. Plants have self-defense chemistry. Plants have gotten much more toxic as they adapt to being poisoned. Even so-called “organic” foods are effected by plants Morpho-Genetic field worldwide. Neurological disorders are the result. Long term Plant eating has become the number one food menace as foretold in various warnings in certain ancient writings. Most medications are made by plant chemicals, natural or synthetic. It’s a cycle that’s happened before since time immemorial. Herbs lose their power to nourish or heal. Paradise degenerates into loon land.
In my world, it really doesn’t matter. I get the chance to sit on the Yeti and relax when ever I choose and I’m good with that.
What scares me is how good pot is getting these days and I know there will be plenty, especially amongst our youth that will have serious auto accidents as a result and innocent people will die.
I wouldn’t worry about the few stoned drivers driving slower than everyone else on the road. I know the times I’ve done it, I didn’t want to go anywhere. Home was the place to be.
I only drove stoned once (kind of an accidental circumstance.) I found myself driving half the speed limit and stopping 40-50 feet from the stop line at traffic lights.
Back in those days I drove drunk on too many occasions. I thought I was Mario Andretti behind the wheel at Monico. It’s a wonder that I never wrecked.
Even wilder is being drunk and stoned at the same time and trying to drive a stick shift. Boy I’m shocked I didn’t wreck or destroy my transmission in my old Celica.
