Imho the border itself should be an impeachable offense…we might be actively involved in three wars when he leaves office (that’s three more than the guy before him who all the dumb people on the left swore was going to start ww3)…Americans working their butts off just break even have lost 17-20% of their purchasing power…that wreck in Afghanistan…I need to start a thread about the Trump prosecutors in NY and Georgia being in contact with the White House pretty consistently…the American people have a right to know if the administration is participating in an attempt to jail Biden’s opponents…and I didn’t even mention the millions his family has made from countries that aren’t our friends (I think his whole presidency is a FARA violation).

Asylum is a very subjective process, and largely depends upon the biases and political leanings of the asylum judge. It’s not like anyone can police these people.
The reason for asylum dates back to what happened to the Jews in Nazi Germany. This isn’t the 1930’s/1940’s. Today with the plethora of global resources available we have substantial knowledge of what’s going on in the world, and as @TheRedComet has pointed out, unless there is a major war or genocide taking place there’s absolutely no reason for mass asylum to be taking place.
