Socialist superstar Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez left New York voters scratching their heads this week; bizarrely suggesting she will be “inaugurated” should she win her Congressional race and will eventually be “signing” bills into law.
Seriously? Being a Gen-Xer and familiar with School House Rock (I’m just a Bill), I can’t believe how basically ignorant this woman is.

Considering the crap our president has gotten wrong regarding how our government works I would think Republicans would be wary of calling out ANYONE.
Actually is you hear what she is saying it may be that she only got a date wrong.
If she was projecting about the future and getting what one wants she may have been alluding to becoming President.

Or, as has been shown, since there will be a “formal ceremony for the swearing in of the New Congress” in January of 2019, or as the DICTIONARY shows us, a New Congress will be “inaugurated” January 3rd of 2019.
We see, Cortez then said “January 4th we’re signing health care, we’re signing this.” we’re doing that not just her. “We’re” as in (the House of Representatives under the Democrats rule) are. In the fulfilled wish that she will be elected.
She mistakenly uses the word “signing” instead of “we’re ‘writing’ health care, we’re ‘writing’ this.” But of course Bills are signed by the authors of them and they do often have co-signers.
But hey, it seems that Ocassio-Cortez has the old white guy demographic of the Trumplican Party crapping in their depends for so many of them to so focussed on this political newbie.
I can’t remember one single solitary OMG OP from our esteemed Host making hay of the many mistakes made by our president regarding his lack of knowledge how the three branches of our Republic work, nor were there any OP’s come to mind regarding his oft and ongoing screwy word salad commentaries he utters?

At least all the poor Trumplicans, never pointing to what Trump gets wrong or mangles, but showing that they are so upset with Ocassio-Cortez’s tiny little speaking mistakes, are providing a large and stark showcase to the double standard the Right applies to politics.
In particular, when they are throwing stones at a minority candidate, especially a female one, as is shown here and elsewhere in the Right Wingosphere, with their many attacks on Ocassio-Cortez, some so nitpicky it is downright ludicrous.
What is your point?
Here’s the real issue with Ocasio-Cortez: she thinks socialism is a good idea. She doesn’t seem to realize that when “everyone gets healthcare,” everyone’s taxes have to go up to pay for that. You may not pay at point of service, but you’re paying every year from your salary. So working the same, or harder, and taking less home. Not to mention the inconvenient fact that whatever the Government gives, the Government can take away. Or deny (see Charlie Gard, UK). The same with “everyone gets a college education.” Well, first off, not everyone needs a college education. Some people are super talented & creative and can build a life for themselves outside of academia. Secondly, if the Government is paying for your education, it is pretty likely the Government is going to dictate what degree you can have (like in Portugal). I don’t care that she misspoke, or that you’d like to play dictionary/semantic games. I care that she wants to fundamentally transform our system of government from a Constitutional Republic to a “Democratic Socialist” nation.
… or mismanage into oblivion.
What LouC conveniently overlooks is that Trump knows how the government works,and, more importantly, how it doesn’t work. I seriously doubt that Ocasio-Cortez could manage a lemonade stand.
This woman AOC, is a nightmare and how she got into Congress is another nightmare when you think about the idiots in her district that voted for her just because she went door to door with a mouthful of garbage that they believed hook line and sinker. If the people in her district had any amount of intelligent they never would have voted for this moron. She has some ridiculous pipedream that she will one day become President of the United States. If that should ever happen, even if it is a daymare, we, the people better get out our guns and force this lunatic out. She lives in a fantasy world and knows nothing about our Government, how it works or all the things that go along with it. Can you see her negotiate with Putin? She’s a joke.
