I’m not shifting anything. The President’s job description does NOT include telling everyone the truth every time. NO politician can or would ever do that.
Not so the press. They are SUPPOSED to only tell the truth, and at all times. They cannot operate with any credibility if they don’t. As I said, that is their stock in trade.
They no longer have any credibility with most Americans because they no longer strive to that perfection. It’s like, well, hey, 70% is pretty damn good!
Well, no. It’s God-awful for the press. All politicians are expected by the public to LIE at times. It doesn’t at all diminish them except in the eyes of those who hate them already. But the contract of trust the public USED to have with the press is OVER. They must NEVER lie but they all-too-frequently do, today.

Libs aren’t wrong to point out the hypocrisy of Trump and his supporters here. However, Sanders, Pence and Conway have not engaged in the same cringeworthy and childish rhetoric that Trump does almost daily. So attacks on them were in bad taste.

The joke was more about hypocrisy than abortion. And she called sanders a liar, that’s accurate and not insulting. Sanders knows she’s a liar and should be comfortable with that.
No it wasn’t. She said "dont knock it until you have tried it’ concerning abortion. No hypocrisy, simply a leftist admitting how pro abortion she is.
Even some people who identify as pro choice would probably agree it’s not something to joke about. She just showed her contempt for people who think differently than she does.
The women I know thought it was funny. And I don’t believe most conservative “outrage” over abortion. I think they view it as a useful buzzword to rally a reliable voter base, so the indignation comes off as phony to me.
Most conservatives in office would get abortions or encourage their children to if they had an unwanted pregnancy.

Completely untrue, what we had was a very high tax bracket for high earners, but it was chock full of exemptions and loopholes and the effective tax rate was higher but by no means so high as to constitute a salary cap. And even then that only counts taxes on wages and says nothing of how most of the really wealthy earn money, which is typically not from wages.
Umm, can’t recall having verbally asked very often to be honest and haven’t gotten any complaints yet. Who’s asking the question you propose here? George Clooney or Donald Trump?

Increased the deficit by 1.5T, gutted teh EPA to the point that states that carried him are begging the EPA to reverse course, started letting PLASTIC WATER BOTTLES be sold in teh nation parks (pet peeve of mine…terrible decision) raised taxes on millions of middle classes such as myself (taxes will go up about 1,200 ext year. I live in NJ), starting a trade ar which is already having impact on american businesses, lied about the wall funding, lied about, well, nearly everything else as well…

Re: taxes - sure, they are a NJ problem but my federal taxes went UP during trump because he changed the rules. That is on him. He raised my federal taxes. You can’t weasel out of that.
I hate Christie. Christie did incredible damage to our state, including a back door effort to look like a tax cutter, resulting in local tax hikes. He’s another con man.
