Coronavirus Thread Political

The airplane still left many hours later and gave everyone the option to continue or get off. I however being a pilot, my company did not want to chance me getting sick and then getting on anouther plane next day possibly spreading it further in abundance of caution. It is very likely just a hoax but they wanted to be safe.

Cool. Well done Trump Corona Flu Team. Over-promise and under-deliver. Just what the public was hoping would happen.

U.S. Won’t Meet Coronavirus Test Rollout Goal, Senators Say

“There won’t be a million people to get a test by the end of the week,” Republican Senator Rick Scott of Florida said. “It’s way smaller than that. And still, at this point, it’s still through public health departments.”

That is just wrong. What is wrong with people…you all could end up in quarantine…or at the very least getting tested before being allowed to go home. My mom flew back from Philly to Chicago yesterday and she said that about every 40 to 50 people she saw at KPHI, were wearing masks. My daughter is flying from Chicago OHARE to North Dakota…I am sending her with clorox wipes and telling her to wipe down the arms of the seats the head rests, not to use pillows and to wipe down ever surface she has to actually touch with her hands…like using the bathrooms. Just have to be cautious.

Fact.

80% will have coldlike or no symptoms. 20% will be severe. 2% (hoping this number drops to .5 at least but we’ll never know due to unreported cases) will die.

I’m sorry but you’ll never be able to convince me that this was responsible rhetoric coming from the President during this period of time.

Then I’m sure that you don’t mind being infected.

2% of those infected are already sick and/or elderly, eh?

Possibly already have been.

And honestly, how can our POTUS have 45 minutes free to talk on the phone to a TV personality?

Don’t do that please.

I’m sure this will go off without a hitch.

No way…are you officially quarintined? Did they demand you return to your room?

Sorry for your troubles.

I’m flying for pleasure next week and I’m kind of dreading it now.

not quarantined, work is keeping me here waiting on more info. Probably just a hoax.

One of Trump’s biggest sycophants weighs in on Trump’s rambling rhetoric and hunches.

I don’t see the problem in making the case for an expected drop in mortality rate. The circumstances surrounding Wuhan, as Konsurvative and I have discussed, very likely contributed to the 2% we saw there.

It is not the mere prognostication of what may or may not eventually come to pass. It is that the President of the United States is going off of his hunch, and contradicting the professionals, which then calls into question their reliability and judgment. Do we want more people, or less people, listening to the experts at this time?

Trump is the expert of all things, didn’t you know this?

25 minutes in, experts at Johns Hopkins talking about people who have sick family members at home and going to work. Don’t panic.
