A disease like the regular seasonal flu outbreak is far easier to combat than something that is just emerging that spreads even faster and asymptomatically.

There was not even a genetic code or name for this virus until mid-January.

We did not even have a genetic code for this virus until the 12th of January in less than a week later we had a test for it and we already had a vaccine in development.

I’m sorry Mother Nature is a cruel heartless **** and we cannot control her

If we can go from 0 to 6.5 million cases of a known disease for which we have vaccines treatments and test already in Waiting because we knew it was coming and had already developed in years before what makes you think that we are in any way capable of doing far better against the disease that is totally unknown and emerging and we have to wing it from day one based on real time data as it comes in?

Please give us a straight answer.

You know as well as I do it can take years or decades for the results of one of those games to make it to the president’s desk if ever.

How many similar set scenarios were run that year and in years prior we’re and we did not have a negative outcome?

Hell we’re talking about the regular military there and not even in Special Ops that do the results of games always make it all the way to the top for review.

I disagree. HHS doesn’t run tens of thousands of simulations each year that last for 8 full months of Federal preparedness for a global flu pandemic.
