Contryside vs Cities

Cost of living is always measured per capita.

The populations of Monmouth County and Baltimore are approximately the same, as the OP has pointed out.

Good post.

Are you counting home ownership?

THAT CANT BE RIGHT
ONE HOSPITAL ALONE PROBABLY MAKE OVER 29 MILLION IN LESS THAN A MONTH
MONMOUTH COUNTY GOT BUSINESES OUT THE BUTT
gdp is gross domestic product?

For cost of living? Of course.

Median home price in Monmouth County: $430,100
Median home price in Baltimore City: $115,700

Do most people in Baltimore own their homes?

What are the unemployment rates in each?

Yes, GDP is “gross domestic product”.

Apologies, I neglected to mention those numbers are in Thousands of US dollars. So add 3 zeros to the end.

Educated libs know that no worries😉

Someone owns it

I don’t have the numbers in front of me, but since Monmouth County is a upper-middle class bedroom community for commuters to NYC, I would imagine unemployment is higher in Baltimore.

Yes the Kushners

One of the prettiest cities in California.

That WAS PROBABLY MORE TRUE IN THE MID 60’S THROUGH THE 70’S AS MUCH OF THE NEIGHBORHOODS WERE BEING BUILT.
Now that the county is built up to where it it is now,… people dont necesarily commute into manhattan at the same percentage anymore.
ARound here where my parents bought the house in 1965, a lot of the neighbors were engineers at bell labs
worked in homdel

Why are we comparing an upper middle class community to a rat-infested ■■■■ hole?

4% to 7%

What difference does median income make to people living in dependence on the government?

Everyone I’ve ever met living in Monmouth County has a commuter to the City.

Not to say that my anecdotal evidence is valid - but it’s at least as valid as your anecdotes are.

With a worsening meth epidemic. A lot of places are pretty if you stay in the tourist areas.

Take that up with the OP.

Who said anything about “median income”?

It’s the tourist parts of SF that are dirty ■■■■■■■■■■

not all of Monmouth county is upper middle class
we have our poorer areas,
we have low income housing here
and middle class is a relative term,…
it is dependent on property taxes vs income
so it depends where you live
