Bernie Sanders is a devoted socialist. Millions of Americans support his ideas and voted for him.
A lot of people on thee left are Socialists. Unfortunately, for thee Democrats, thee majority of Americans still want Capitalism. lol.
Do you think that Bernie Sanders, had he won the election, would have seized the means of production and handed them over to “the people”?

It’s just a Thread headline. I put Conservatives on the same side as Republicans, because Conservatives lean further to their side of the spectrum politically than Republicans do, but ultimately Conservatives are going to vote Republicans the majority of the time.
I put Socialist liberals on the same side as Democrats because Socialist Liberals lean further to their side of the spectrum politically than Democrats do, but ultimately Socialist Liberals are going to vote for Democrats the majority of the time. Where you may be getting confused is that politically Conservatives lean towards the right, and the Socialist Liberals lean to the left.

My mother, as tradition has it, was a member of the communist party in college. Apparently they didn’t do much but have a few beers and talk about books. She then became a medical illustrator, attended medical school and became an orthopedic surgeon. Later, she became the director of a major health agency for the state of Kansas. She worked closely with Bob Dole on health issues. Her first husband was shot down over the Pacific during WWII. Her second husband, my father, also was an orthopedic surgeon. Needless to say we grew up in a liberal family. In 1968, me and my high school friends drove to Beatrice, Nebraska to campaign for Eugene McCarthy.
I attended an anti-war demonstration at the Topeka State Capital in 1969. Apparently, a file was started on me, including a photograph, by the Kansas Bureau of Investigation.
I became a scientist and later a science teacher. Clearly my political leanings are an influence on my students!
