Remember the films Fletch and Fletch Lives with Chevy Chase playing the title character?

There’s a new Fletch movie out in limited release in theaters and streaming called Confess, Fletch with John Hamm as Fletch now.

I saw the movie in theaters today and enjoyed it. I thought Hamm was charmingly solid as Fletch, and the film itself was quite amusing.

I recommend everyone to see it in theaters or on TV.

I give it a grade of an B+.

I liked Jon Hamm in Top Gun Maverick and enjoyed the Fletch films. Maybe I’ll go see Confess.

This film returns to the formula of the original film (NOT Fletch Lives) in that it comes from the novel featuring the character. The second film (Fletch Lives) was originally written by Hollywood screenwriters without regard for the novel.
