It will be a very difficult quandary for them.
Appellate courts very rarely question the factual findings of trial courts.
Very unlikely they will overturn the factual finding that Trump engaged in insurrection or gave aid and comfort thereto.
With that factual finding in place, they would have to produce one hell of a word salad to twist the plain meaning of 14.3 to a point that would allow Trump to escape disqualification.
Going to be quite interesting to see how they approach this.

I don’t support insurrectionists of any party or type.
Simple as that.
All Trump had to do was abide by the expressed will of the voters. He chose not to do that and tried to overthrow the election by force.
That is the bottom line.
I will support a Republican candidate who will abide, win or lose, by the expressed will of the people at the ballot box.
