I find it interesting that Conservatives construct this strawman version of MLK that they like and quote regularly to libs. Then when provided the full spectrum of MLKs views they deny the actual version of MLK for their strawman
They have no right to make blanket assumptions on anyone based on their race. And they have no right to try to alter someone’s personality. This is truely evil ■■■■■ It looks like I won’t be drinking Coke for awhile.
At the college it’s wrapped into which committees or initiatives you’re asked to be a part of. I found a strong pattern tying those who join or lead these projects and who was next to be promoted. I am not against the basis, obviously, as I work with everyone who contacts me… but to say there’s nobody watching what one decides to take voluntarily isn’t always true.
“…management didn’t hold it against non-management because they weren’t paid as much, but once you hit management…”
I’m starting to wonder if there’s a push to support one particular cause in one unit, would rather not specify the cause, but will say it isn’t race related.
I never see visible support among rank and file employees, but have observed it among individuals in various management roles.
Perhaps it’s one of those not required, but “encouraged” initiatives.
Before you go all in on Pepsi, you should know that Coke very likely did not promote or require the training in question. The curriculum they provided employees granted access to a third party learning system that included the controversial training.
I have no idea about CNN. The NY Times certainly does on a lot of stuff. Only the more contentious articles ever makes it here, (editorials) they do plenty of just plain news…
Here’s what I see when I read that training information. Someone has decided that by their nature blacks are less oppressive; less arrogant; less certain; less defensive; more humble; listen attentively; etc… If only whites could be more like blacks we would all be better off.
