I would say churches should not be going political, but since white megadollar megachurches are overtly politically in the tank for Donnie, I don’t think anything should come of this incident. We have decided, apparently, that we don’t care.

I agree, despite the whataboutism, which was never in contention. The topic of this discussion is small black churches and the accusation of racism.
While there are other areas of the country in which churches have played a pivotal role in community organizing, I think we are hard put to find a stronger or more recent model. Where would the civil rights movement have been without the black church and Reverend King?
Churches are mandated to fight social injustice, to provide sanctuary, to light the path.
