Looks like China is rising… Expanding BRICS into nine influential states at once is a signal that China is becoming the leader of an alternative world.
.Argentina, Egypt, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Nigeria, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Senegal and Thailand have been added to the list (along with the founding members Brazil, India, Russia, China, and South Africa. ) They all have one thing in common, they do not back sanctions against Russia and apparently stated such in UN votes and negoiations. This may be the new Chinese New Silk Road plan.

part of the 100 year plan… excellerated when Russia hit Ukarain… They all have one thing in common, they do not back sanctions against Russia and apparently stated such in UN votes and negoiations.
China’s importance is as a trading partner to the “rest of the world” (ROW)
Foreign trade in both directions is “only” 20% of US GDP and our trade with China is “only” 13% of that (13% of 20% is 2.6%.) China is the seller and could be easily replaced by India or an ASEAN nation. That 2.6% would jump to, I dunno 2.8%?? 2.9%?? Point is if the US could no longer trade with China at all, and if we could seamlessly replace China, it would not cost us much.
HOWEVER
That 2.6% applies only to the US.
In the case of many third world countries that number jumps to 7, 8 or even 10%
I found this map floating around social media somehwere. I can’t swear to it but it seems about right.
South Africa will next month go ahead with naval exercises off its eastern coast with Russian and Chinese warships much to the chagrin of the western nations.
