China lied, more than 75,000 will die in the US and hundreds of thousands around the world

The US admin is keen to shift the attention to China to cover up for their own mishandling of the crisis. The polls are dropping so gotta rile up the base with a scapegoat.

Well, I applaud fewer chinese imports, but as we move into recession and come out of the medical crisis, people are going to be very strapped for cash when we finally can shop again.

It’s going to be difficult.

And it’s further complicated by Trump’s fumbling, and complicated relationship with Xi and Chinese lenders.

The main issue is going to be a renewed thirst for cheap goods in the midst of a recession.

And the :sheep: will gladly follow.

And you’re both wrong of course.

 :joy:

Without a doubt.

Looks like we are back to cherry picking one poll to tout “polls are climbing!”

@Happyhappyjoyjoy how does the UK general public think that bojo has handled the crisis? Will that play a part in determining what role Huawei plays going forward?

Australia is not going to participate in any economic sanctioning of China.

Of course any attempts to impose sanctions by the USA, directy or indirectly, against China would result in China demanding that all communications that Trump received over Covid 19 would of necessity be made public.

He’s polling at an all time high, it’s staggering.

The PM forced through the inclusion of Huawei in January, against the wishes of many in his party. I have yet to see any indication he is now of a different opinion.

This is also the admin protecting the downside as they keep revising the deaths upwards from their earlier projections.

Its a sad visual to see this administration touting “Only 50K to die? That’s excellent.” to “Only 70K to die? Still excellent!” to “Only 90K to die, still excellent!”

I wish that with this prediction increase would force governors and this administration to evaluate why there’s the predictive increase and try and figure out the best scenario to reduce that number.

Sounds like the US overreacted.

It’s unbelievable to me the death toll is piling up so quickly, and yet a certain faction is screaming about opening it all up.

One would think that 1 death from this is 1 too many.
But, human death is okay if people can go get their nails done or sit at the bar to enjoy a hamburger.

Any treasury bond held by China should be canceled with zero warning so they can’t try to offload them beforehand.

If you think of them as fetuses instead of people would that help your visual any, or is 60 million dead still excellent??

A cell split in 2 is worth more than an adult?
Go with that.

So it’s Trump fault that China mislead the world.

Semi agree but probably for different reasons.

Our governments bungled this, over reacted, and turned moderately bad illness into an economic disaster.

Now rather than admit they were initially wrong and reopening things, they insist they were not wrong and just to prove it they kept things closed.
