Can Socialism and Capitalism Benefit One Another?

Or the capitalists are saving money because the socialists have their backs. I hear the board members are in bed with the congresscritters.

Iā€™m sorry your wife is sick.

Iā€™m taking the high road here. My choice.

Nothing.

Thatā€™s not true.

Thanks, I wouldnā€™t expect anything less from you.

Sheā€™s has a chronic condition kept in check with medication.

And she has my prayer.

Youā€™re right. War, overseas meddling, enrichment of politicians, a booming kabuki industry, a piss poor education system, so many laws nobody can count them and total dependence.

What was I thinking.

Of course it does. My company of 200 would be on an equal playing field when it comes to healthcare benefits as a company like Chevron or Salesforce.

No, it does not.

All companies would be able to reduce overhead in terms of healthcare insurance administration.

All companies would be able to eliminate a variable in employee retention and hiring.

Thatā€™s a win for all businesses.

Do you have responsibilities with hiring and managing employees? How big is the org you work with?

30 years!!

No it doesnā€™t. Extremely high taxes would destroy many businesses and the economy.

Sounds good to those who contribute little or nothing in federal taxes i suppose.

Who is talking about extremely high taxes?

Businesses already pay a lot towards employee health insurance. They could instead pay it as a tax and at the same time reduce the need to administer benefits.

This would be like outsourcing the effort.

Individuals would pay an increased tax but could eliminate or reduce their insurance costs to offset the difference.

Since individuals would be responsible for acquiring their own insurance it could be portable, allowing them to take it with them from job to job or to their own start up business.

Yay, more taxes!

Yay, lower cost healthcare.

So it would even out.

Incorrect.

30.9?

Probably better than even out if insurance companies are no longer the gate keepers for access to healthcare.

I have a good policy and pay more than $7000 a year and my company matches that amount. When I, or my wife, need anything outside of a standard procedure we need to get approval. The insurance company exists to maximize profit for their shareholders which they do by denying care.

Great system, huh?

Why do you think the government can do better?
