True. And that’s what the issue that is trying to be highlighted actually is. That unelected and staunchly entrenched bureaucratic systems are running way too many things with little oversight and it’s gotten out of control. Some things need reeled back in and reexamine and that’s not necessarily a bad thing. The whole, it’s always been done this way is not a reason to keep something going or continue a program. I find it odd that so-called “progressives” have an issue with that. Well, no I don’t because their issue is not that this is happening but who is doing it.
“Let’s go Brandon” was created by an NBC reporter. Its popularity came from making fun of the complicit media as well as being a PG version of Deniro’s rant.
NPR famously refused to cover the Biden laptop story based on the disinformation campaign authored by Blinken and his friends at CIA in blatant disregard federal mandates to keep the CIA out of domestic politics. Only after the Biden crime family was in firm control of the White House did NPR start to admit the truth.
I find NPR “news” is a useful source for the current official narratives and propaganda from the DNC. Democrat oligarchs and NGOs already provide a large portion of the funding. I doubt the cutting federal funding will have much effect on programming.
I’ll say one good thing about Mr. Rogers, he knew the difference between boys and girls. No wonder you Libs can’t tell the difference anymore, no more Mr. Rogers telling you.
The Constitution does not give the power of the purse to the Executive branch. Spending originates in the legislative branch. If a Republican president with a Republican house and a Republican Senate wants to defund public media he can ask that House and Senate to pass a bill to that effect and sign it. He can’t decide to let his 130-day employee cut it at will.
If you want to advocate for an authoritarian state have at it. In the meantime the President can use his power to convince his R House and R Senate to pass a bill cutting this funding. They can even make it part of the CR they are about to pass (or not pass as the case may be).
