Putin has to make sure Trump knows his place. Once Trump realizes that Putin is the alpha male in the relationship, there may be room for Putin to relax things a bit.

I almost feel sorry for the President, now. It’s like watching your daughter invite the popular girl at school over for a sleepover only to get shot down, in public, on the playground.
It’s these kind of emotional injuries you wish you could smooth the hurt with some topical lidocaine or something, but the only cure is time. And time takes time.
I hope Trump is feeling better soon, but the scars will stick around.
