Local police in Colorado are responding to reports of “shots fired” at a High School in Douglas County, with the Sheriff’s Department calling the situation “unstable” and urging residents to avoid the area.

“Unstable situation, shots fired at STEM school at Ridgeline and Plaza. Avoid area. Media go to north side of AMC,” posted the Department’s official Twitter account.
