Here is the issue as I see it. The Obama, Waters, Clinton (even deplorable) quotes and their “importance” was limited to those who follow politics more than just “hey what’s going on in the news.” We who argue about the price of tea in China, we care. The same way many liberals don’t understand that most people don’t care about the Russian collusion scandal, most right wingers don’t understand that those quotes only mattered to those who were going to get angry at anything their opponents say.

Trump went past that. He went past the clique of nerds and his rhetoric is spreading incivility to the masses.

I hope you understand my intent isn’t to defend Trump, I’ve opposed him from the day he announced. My intent is to point out that Trump isn’t the reason, he is the effect. Bottom line is people like Trump don’t exist outside an already toxic environment. We ■■■■ in the pool, and the pool sprang Trump. If we don’t clean the pool ourselves it will fester more Trumps.
