Violent protesters post George Floyd have used his death as an excuse to murder, loot and destroy. Law enforcement has been largely handcuffed by all the āsocial justiceā crap.
Itās time the response to the murderers, arsonists, looters, and general all around bad people to fit their crimes.
Of the percentage of all people living in poverty a very high percentage of them come from single parent homes. Especially the ones born to single teenage mothers living in poverty.
When over half of all murders are committed by black men (which are only 6% of the population), youāre damned straight about your statement.
(And of course Iām not saying that every black is more violent or that each black breaks the law more than whites. And I shouldnāt have to make that disclaimer, but I know how things go around here.)
Are you using the FBI stats? Those are arrests, not convictions.
Doing more research, as I am always open to more complete informationā¦I ran into thisā¦
There is evidence in the official police-recorded figures that black Americans are more likely to commit certain types of crime than people of other races.
While it would be naĆÆve to suggest that there is no racism in the US criminal justice system, victim reports donāt support the idea that this is because of mass discrimination.
Higher poverty rates among various urban black communities might explain the difference in crime rates, although the evidence is mixed.
There are few simple answers and links between crime and race are likely to remain the subject of bitter argument.
I addressed the current culture. And that culture is a fact. How it got there doesnāt change what IS today.
And wallowing in the past wonāt change the toxic paradigms of that culture.
Now it has to be undone from withing. Nothing can change it from outside the culture. (In fact, the culture would vehemently resist anything government tried to impose to change that culture.)
What (besides hand wringing about the past) do you suggest should happen?
Well thatās your own hypothesis, and if you decry it, you are just slamming your own strawman.
From this keyboard it just looks like another attempted deflection to distract from the FACT of what IS today. Your efforts to avoid it betrays your agenda.
From this keyboard, it appears you believe everything is equal and just now, and black Americans have no excuse to have the crime and economic stats showing them to have less wealth and more crime.
Here is the difference between our keyboards. I agree culture is part of it. But I also also acknowledge other outside and historical factors do play a role, that still have an averse effect on being black in America.
FTR, I do not have an agenda. Other than trying to understand the world better.
But, it is quite complicated. It is a perpetual goal.
Just go look at the FBI victims report and then come back and tell us if those black victims are lying about the race of the person who victimized them.
