Biden compiling an enemies list

I posted this on another thread nut being as though I didn’t want to divert the discussion I figured it is so out of bounds it deserves its own thread.

So apparently biden and his dept of injustice os having banks comb through transactions to identify any that even mention “MAGA”.
They are also combing through purchases Americans have made of “Subversive material “ such as (gasp) bibles.

Your thought on biden spying on Amer to compile his “enemies “ list?

Unfortunately, government officials targeting their political opponents, and the members of the public who support those political opponents, isn’t a new feature of humanity.

I’d bet everyone on it is an American or an American company.

It’s the way he does everything.
How To be an American President:

  1. Chose an American person class or company.
  2. Attack attack, attack.

(Normally this mindset is something we’d associate with Iran or Russia or China etc… Today it is the mindset of the US President.)

I can almost see the MAGA thing as leftists stand firmly against making America great. But to request information on people who purchase bibles? Really?

Shouldn’t be surprised I guess. Still disturbing. biden focuses the intelligence community inwardly towards fellow Americans.

Meanwhile the rest of the world is blowing up.

Unreal.

No, it is the mindset of those in leadership of a major political party. It reveals an arrogant authoritarian mindset of perceived infallibility and entitlement.

Probably a double whammy if you’re a Catholic who buys a new bible

Did anybody actually read the article :joy:

The responses indicate not so much

So clearly this isn’t about “compiling an enemies list”, but after looking through Judiciary Committee’s press release and reading through Jim Jordan’s letters … honestly, it’s all pretty clear as mud. I won’t claim to understand all of this, but there might be questions here as to why things like “MAGA” and “Trump” were included and for what purposes. I’m just not clear what the goal here is.

Can we all agree that banks voluntarily disclosing private information to a government entity is a violation of privacy and is out of bounds for both banks and the government?

This applies to everyone though not just people you guys support

From January 5 to January 7

The goal is pretty clear. It’s the tactic that’s abhorrent

So it was a tactic to identify potential evidence when trying to identify individuals suspected of participating in Jan 6?

Yep

Enemies list!!! :joy:

Ok thanks. Very hard to read through the NewsMax and Gym Jordan lines.

Looks like it.

But still seems problematic they asked banks for purchases info?

Wouldn’t they need a warrant for that?

It’s not clear if this was an ask/requirement or if it was guidance when banks look for “things”.

The bank “volunteered” :smirk:

Should require a warrant and judicial review.

When you are dealing with government actions and constitutional rights of speech and search protections, trying to dress it up as voluntary guidance won’t fly.
