Biden has done plenty to supercharge domestic production. Many new facilities to produce panels have broken ground in the battery belt.
Tariffs are just holding back current projects. They should go away.

The right is making very transparent efforts to slow down the energy transition by any means. I’m glad President Biden is willing to slap down a bill that would crunch the supply of solar panels and would worsen the backlog of alternative energy projects.
Rhetoric that he’s taking a pro-Chinese stance is not grounded in reality.
That bill includes incentives specifically for manufacturers. It includes a long-term extension of the investment tax credit, it includes credit adders for domestically produced products. Demand was already extremely high and there had already been supply chain issues that folks were really committed to solving. So the IRA puts fuel onto the fire and creates a really strong opportunity in the sector moving forward.
