Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F. (2024 Movie)

I saw Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F. on Netflix, and I enjoyed it.

It was great to see Eddie Murphy as Axel Foley again, and I loved the nostalgic feel as well as nods to the earlier films of the franchise.

It was humorous, and I liked the action. I hope there will be another installment of the franchise.

I recommend everyone to see it on Netflix. I wish it was playing in theaters.

I give it a grade of an B+.

ENJOY!

I’ll be honest I kind of felt like Murphy’s whole career took a dump after that Pluto Nash incident.

Lest we ever forget the tragedy.

Such an incredible talent who consistently made the worst career choices. I’m still gonna check this one out.

Watched it last night and overall not a bad movie. Definitely kept the vibes of the original BHC movies.

Getting the entire original cast back was good but would have liked to have seen Judge Reinhold have more screen time.

Much better than I expected and it’s definitely worth a watch.

I suspect if like me you are of the generation that remembers when the original BHC were released and Eddie Murphy was at his best have a different experience than those who only have seen Murphy in his family friendly movies.

He did. Donkey was a great character and I would have loved to have seen an R rated version of Shrek.

I’m watching the first one now. Is Axel F. a direct sequel to the second movie or is it standalone?

Axel F is set 40 years after the first BHC movie.

So no need to watch the first sequel then?

Two was good so I would watch if but you can miss 3. However if you go from 1 to Axel F its not like you wont understand whats going on or who the characters are.

I’m gonna save 2 and 3 for another time then. I love corny old movies like these. Don’t wanna watch them all at once. lol

2 was a pretty massive hit at the time. Nobody talks about 3.

2 was good. I don’t even remember 3. I’m sure I watched it. I’ll watch damn near anything, including The Battle of Los Angeles…note, this is not Battle Los Angeles. The General shooting at alien crafts with a .44 Magnum was my favorite part.

Ha I remember in that movie when Aaron Eckhart says to the kid he is the bravest Marine he had ever met. Errr I am sure the few remaining Marines who had battled the aliens and lost all their family and friends were just a bit miffed at that :joy::joy::joy::joy:

I watched it too. I’d managed to block it from memory until it was brought back up.

I started out liking it- so good to see Eddie and the rest of the cast- but then it fizzled for me. Eddie- looking good.
