Beto’s drop in the polls has everything to do with Buttigieg’s surgence. It’s nothing he personally did. It’s just that he going up against the former VP (Biden), an experienced U.S Senator and a next-in-line guy (Sanders), and two female U.S Senators (Warren and Harris).
Beto only relevant experience is being a congressional representative. That’s even in people’s books as a two-term mayor of a small city. Buttigieg has an added bonus of having a clean criminal record and being gay.
Cruz ran on lies and false talk radio BS and yet that’s what the majority of Texans want. Texas is still red. No Democratic candidate would have beat Cruz. Not yet.
That we couldn’t “afford” Medicare For All citing the Mercatus Study saying it’ll cost $32 trillion, despite the fact that the same study said our current system would cost $2 trillion more.
That his efforts wouldn’t get rid of pre-existing conditions protections. His bill wouldn’t have caused an adverse selection feedback loop that makes it impossible for all but the wealthy with pre-existing able to afford insurance. He also supports the complete abolishment of the ACA (current lawsuit going through) without any actual plan to replace it which would get rid of pre-existing conditions. After all, the bill with his amendment got fewer votes than the straight repeal and 2-year delay back in 2017.
SOCIALISM!!
Beto voted to add $10 tax per barrel of oil. Not sure how a “Nay” vote on a non-binding resolution is an affirmative vote to actually increase taxes, but you would think a US Senator would understand this. Oh wait, he does, he’s just a lying sack of ■■■■■
Things like that. I’m sure there’s more, but those were the easiest to go off of memory.
