The GOP is a political party. MAGA is a campaign slogan and political movement.
The Republican party doesn’t take its marching orders from Trump or from anyone else. To even suggest that it does is absurd. As in TDS, frothing at the mouth absurd.

The President is considered to be the figurative leader of the Party they represent. They set the general tone and overall direction the party will follow during the President’s term.
Neither the party, nor its members, takes direct orders from the President unless they are in the President’s administration. There is no jumping when the President says jump.
