Bad bunny at the super bowl

you would think that the selection of halftime entertainment would be non political. lol. think again.

MAGA resents using American citizen Bad Bunny is wrong and awful.

just because he is hispanic and sings in Spanish.

Former professional race car driver Danica Patrick sparked a wave of backlash after blasting the NFL’s choice of Bad Bunny as the Super Bowl LX halftime show performer

“Oh fun,” Patrick, 42, wrote via X on Sunday, September 29. “No songs in English should not be allowed at one of America’s highest rated television events of the year … not just for sports.”

boy there are some really racist people in America.

Now ask me if I’ll watch the superbowl? Ask me if I’ll protest with my dollars? Ask me if I’ll promote or condemn this? That said, if the NFL thinks this is as good an idea as their effeminate male cheerleaders…they’re right. Carry on and I’d wager that financially, this was a dumb decision and that’s the best education when you’re professional.

I lost interest in the NFL long ago so whatever freak they have for halftime entertainment is of little import.
Seriously tho, ■■■ is a bad bunny?

Seriously I have no idea who or what this is?

I had the same “What’s a bad bunny?” reaction a few years ago. But after listening to some of his stuff, he’s very talented. Not for everyone, for sure, but really catchy songs.

The instant reaction about him performing in Spanish is a symptom of where the right is these days.

So I just did a quick google of this bad bunny person.

It’s comical that big Al started his rant with the above statement about politics…

I sincerely have no idea who this guy is…an AI search told me this. He’s apparently got an interesting story, used to drive a truck…

He sings in Spanish…I don’t speak Spanish sooo…I’m out as a potential audience member.

Then I found this…

“ Background and Controversy
Cultural Impact: Bad Bunny is known for his political activism, including support for Puerto Rican independence and criticism of U.S. immigration policies. His selection has sparked discussions about cultural identity and representation in America.
Political Reactions: The choice of Bad Bunny has drawn criticism from conservative commentators, with some calling for boycotts. They argue that his past comments about U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) are divisive.”

So much for being non political.

I love football. I let them drive me away when the NFL, (and the NBA to a greater extent) got in bed with the BLM and Antifa terrorists back in 2020. I decided I wasn’t going to let those criminals take some thing I love away from me.

But in this climate in this year seriously booking some guy who sings in Spanish and is known for his anti ICE politics to sing at the Super Bowl???

Oh well…I always go feed the horses during the halftime show anyway. To be honest maybe I’m just getting old but the halftime show has sucked for years.

Bad bunny is a really bad choice for the Super Bowl imho.

lol. what climate. bad bunny is an excellent choice for the younger demographics the NFL wants.

hes very popular. well i guess not in the MAGA crowd.

and you didnt know him. lol.

Do you even know what his songs are about, or what the translated lyrics say?

No, you don’t care that the crap he spews is crap. ALL you care about is conservatives are not thrilled and that gives YOU a tingle up your leg.

What are his songs about?

But why are conservatives not thrilled?

I suggest you do your own research, google is easy and free.

Ok. From your post, I thought you had some specific examples or an actual point.

Maybe I do, but maybe YOU should do your own research. You MIGHT learn something, I doubt it, but what is life without hope.

I guess. Seems like if you have a specific example in mind that could prove something, you’d just share that. Or others can just go searching around Spotify looking for something you, apparently, already know.

Grandpa, Bad Bunny is on a very short list of the most successful artists of the 21st century.

I haven’t really know many of the last dozen performers. So this seems par for the course. I have no idea who Bad Bunny is.

I’m surprised it wasn’t Taylor Swift. She seems to be the darling during the NFL season

I seldom watch the SB.

I haven’t watched the halftime since Paul McCartney i don’t think.

I prefer the college game to the pros anyway.

100% on this one! Much better game imho.
