There is absolutely something that does. They have a green card. You have a passport. They can be deported and even de naturalized. That doesn’t change the fact that requiring them to also have biometric id is a bit fascist.

Yes…once one has been given amnesty, and have lived in the USA for a year, then they can apply for a green card…very different that this claim

The fact is we need a way to be able to identify which aliens in the country are eligible for work and which are not. It need not be biometric ID, but there needs to be something in place. If you’re going to make hiring an illegal alien unlawful, there has to be some way for employers to know whether the person in front of them can work.

I worked in the employment industry for about 12 years. Do you know how may fake green cards I saw? Guess what, nothing I can do about it, because the law says I MUST accept what’s given to me and reporting it is harassment. How about fake SS cards? Seen a ton of them too. I’ve had multiple people come in on different days with the same documents. Guess what… accept the document, stamp the form, move on. Because the law says if they present it, I have to accept it.

There is they have a social security number. All permanent residents do.

It’s one of those issues that’s been resolved for some time.

everify is not mandatory, it should be. If it were mandatory, perhaps it would be resolved, but its not.

I’m not stuck on biometric ID, but from experience I know I’ve had a lot of people standing in front of me with documents that were not theirs, except they bought them. From what I remember of everify (sketchy at best) I think it verified the number was valid, not that it belonged to the person standing in front of you. From what I recall, that you found out weeks or months later when the letter came telling you, you had to have that person bring other forms of ID

They need to enforce current laws. The laws are already there now they skirt around them and hold mock interviews with no intention of hiring the American. They also cozy up to politicians it’s all sleezy then your entire floor will be like mine at lunch with no diversity.

If labor bands together and bargains for a better deal… the threat of hiring people to undercut wages become less of an issue… because those people hired would also be done under the collective bargaining agreement.

Round them up, jail them and then deport them. (Shorter sentences for those who help convict their employers.)

This is one of the very very few (election year) cases of an attempt to enforce the law.

I haven’t deprived anyone of a job, aided/abetted a criminal, defrauded the IRS defrauded the healthcare system etc…

Criminals especially those who hurt American workers get rounded up.

Did you see the first 2-3 posts in this thread? This is not a victimless crime we’re talking about.
