And much to my surprise,
Table A-7, the number of foreign-born workers increased in March.

You’re digging deep if you’re looking for negative indicators in that report. Good numbers all around, for the most part.

The Couriers thing… That’s an enduring mystery to me. Every month…

Well, these parts look like a Biden era jobs report
(especially the last one)

And these parts were well, not what I expected

I actually thought FedGov would be a larger decline. Agreed about S/L gov’t - That’s a head scratcher too.

That is the term BLS uses and has used for decades.

Yah what’s the status?

They don’t say.

It is not likely that under Joe Biden a bazillion mail order brides came over. Or maybe the rest of the world ran out of doctors with no kids so 5 million doctors-with-kids suddenly came over here.

Of course I can’t prove that.

You missed me in the last thread saying may be you were right after the last report. So i am wondering if the trend of dropping foreign born getting jobs continued.

Not born in the US

Naturalized citizens, green card/visa holders, illegals

Yep i know. I was just asking for an update

Foreign-born employed actually rose last month.

I can guess at an explanation, but . . . that’s a solid fact, why sully it with guesses?

What’s your guess

Interesting it’s still going up despite two months of deportations.

:sunglasses:

Just guesses. I really am not sure:

  • has done a much better job of rounding up unemployed illegals than employed illegals.
  • employers are now hiring legal foreigners that they are not afraid to report on a BLS survey. EX: in NYC and on farms it is really really easy to contact a service and get a legal foreign worker to replace an illegal one.

but I dunno. I’m just spit-balling here

My guess is that they (the administration) has a m/l reasonable set of priorities and it is not working out.
Their priorities

  • First give due process to known criminals and deport them.
(Thinking: The media is bad, but its not so bad they would lie about this, right?)

New Priority should be:

  • Large scale arrest and prosecution of the lying criminals who hire illegals
(lock them up and seize their assets)
  • Rounding up and throwing out phony asylum seekers
  • Attracting honest non-criminal types via expansion and normalization of H2-A visas, J-1 visas etc…
