President Trump called-out social media platforms for “silencing millions of people” Friday morning; blasting major tech companies for taking down posts and stories published by prominent conservatives.
You don’t have a right to social media, not like Republican couldn’t crate their own version of Facebook, Twitter, etc.
The censorship is getting worse everyday. Don’t say you are a site that values, and errors on the the side of inclusivity, all views and then basically cuts off all conservative speech. If anyone else did this they would be answering for interfering in the election process. Its no coincidence that this is happening, and worsening, right before the midterms.
They did. They’re called Gab, Minds, BitChute, & others. You know what happened next? The tech monopolies wont let them in the app store & routinely stifle them & the media smear them as “Far-Right” platforms.
Or they just sucked?
Yes we do, when they act just like public spaces which in effect makes them pretty much like public utilities. This needs to go to the SCOTUS for their judgement obviously. All these platforms need to be declared publishers, because that’s what they are - though their euphemism is the “platform”. IF you invite the public in to the extent that it becomes a social media (another of their words) mechanism of mass communication with the power to reach millions and ewven billions!, censorship can not happen.

I appreciate your enthusiasm and optimism, but censorship can very much happen, heck even this place ■■■■■■■ censors my free speech. See that blacked out word in my last sentence, BINGO, that was Hannity.com censorship of my speech via their automatic filtering app. Then if I intentionally or accidentally post something that violates their policy (to which I agreed to abide) they can and have deleted those postings, I.E. they have censored me.
To what end would you seek with SCOTUS declaring FaceBook et al to be “publishers”?
