$250k buys a lot of house in a lot of parts of Texas.
In Missouri, that amount could buy you:
3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms
Detached 2-car garage
3 detached storage buildings (one is 2 stories with a carport)
1 greenhouse
1 4-stable barn w/ 100 square bale storage bin
13 acres of land (8 fenced and pastured, 5 forested)
Plus, you’d still have 52K leftover for customization.

There should be graphic content filters in place for trash dumps like that.
Or you could pay for a full ride to get a PHD degree.
That would to far more than building a house for someone ever could.
