Did you pay for your own college out of your own pocket? I’m a boomer and I did. Did not own a dime on my graduation day.
So maybe instead of borrowing all that money you millennial’s need to get off your butts and work your way through college.
How much was college back when you went? What was the average wage?
Now compare that to what we have today and you will see how ridiculous your comment was

Nothing was handed to me and I’m a boomer. Paid for my own college degree and I have supported myself since I was 18 years old.
Now tell my how many of you millennials spent your days after graduation in training to go save your country in Vietnam? And remember a lot of those young men were not given a chose and many came home in body bags.
Seems your generation doesn’t want to take responsibility for their own failures and hard times. Must be all those participation trophies you received didn’t prepare you for the real world.

When people had to pay for it up front there wasn’t a proliferation of “studies” that amounted to little more than a scam whereby students brought books from their professors that no one would otherwise ever read.
Maybe part of the problem is that people have been borrowing in the first place, making it easier for them to take courses in what amounts to hobbies or else progressive obscuritianism (which is not particularly marketable) and therefore easier for piggies to insert themselves ever deeper into the money stream that comes from student loans?
… for some that includes confidence that they can change a lightbulb.
Though in all fairness it wasn’t too long ago that our betters on the Left from earlier generations demonstrated their persistent technical savvy by erasing smart phones with hammers (much like had been done to Vince Foster’s computer years before … only that was dropping it lots … Beto may be a fake and a nitwit but as a former hacker he’d at least have been less rough on the equipment).
Studies show that among the misguided the British accent is seen as synonymous with class, culture, and education so it boots ratings to have them on.

Nothing ridiculous about it. I have 6 children and all of them went to college. Two graduated with no student loan debt. And no I didn’t pay any of their college tuition. The other four all joined the military and the military paid for their college tuition. Now if they can all do it everyone can do it.
In college I shoveled grain and loaded rail road cars at night after school. Went to work at 6:00 pm got off worked at 4:00 am. Made 1.30 an hour.
I didn’t get away quite that clean. Even with the VA and working after 6.5 years of under grad and graduate work I ran up about 12.5K in debt that took me nearly a decade to pay off.
Psssst . . . just between you and I, those loans get (hold onto your hat) paid back by the millennial, while they’re working their butts off after college.

Not if democrats win the WH and control of both houses of congress they won’t be.
Really poor effort on your part, I’m sure you can do better.
So what have they got to whine about? They took the easy road. Now they are having to pay the price.
If they were smarter they would have paid up front and come out of college debt free.
And then we have the fact that around 40% of those loans will never be paid back. So only about 60% work their butts off after they graduate.
Possibly. But that’s not the situation now, is it, nor has it been for the entirety of the millennials, or Gen X, or the boomers for that matter.
This is correct but not something they are likely to be willing to admit.
You have got to be kidding here, right? How many kids have, or could in any reasonable scenario have, $100k+ up front? Some, but very few.
