Which party is actually restricting speech? It is Republican states that are censoring mentions of slavery, gay marriage, trans people, etc. Florida even passed a law punishing a corporation for that they said.
I disagree with DeSantis using government against Disney, so I won’t defend that. The other items are merely the state setting up what is to be taught in state schools. People who want to harangue about evil whites, how the system isn’t fair and how boys should wear dresses can still do so on their own dime in their own place. They will just not be paid by the state to do it.

If we accept your premise that libs believe in censorship; it follows from these questions that conservatives believe in lying.
And then again, yesterday word came from Florida of a teacher fired for assigned “The Diary of Anne Frank” to their class. So conservatives appear to believe in lying and censorship.
