Great, do a single bill covering broadband. I loathe broad bills that cover 1000 things. (Including the BBB. There is a lot of UGLY in that one as far as I am concerned.)
Trump killed stuff that contained certain UGLY things. Biden (and libs) painted a ton of their initiatives with coats of UGLY.
Sorry. Elections have consequences.
I REALLY hope that moving forward, bills are more focused.
There is still a serious shortage of qualified electricians, but now it’s a little less serious than it would have been with the continuation of the “killed green jobs.”
According to the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA), “7,000 new electricians join the industry each year, but 10,000 retire from it,” putting the number of skilled electricians available at a severe deficit.
As America electifies, we will need MORE electricians, not fewer.
Unfortunately 10,000 electricians a year are retiring, and only 7,000 people a year are entering the trade.
I’m glad I brought this awareness to the world. And it’s not just electricians, plumbers, wielders, carpenters, iron workers, machinist, concrete, havoc just to name a few.
Nope…it was in Maine where multiple solar projects was scrapped due to the funding being cancelled. It was putting many electricinas there out of work. Witht the shortage of electricians, hopefully they can find a job…althouhg they may have to move
You have yet to show that even one electrician in Maine lost their job due to the cancelation of the solar project. At most you have shown there may have been some job opportunities lost, but since there are already fewer qualified electricians than job opportunities, what jobs have been lost?
Not once are the words “has lost” used. Nor are any of those forecast or could lead to words anything more than someone’s possibilities that may or may not come to fruition.
Since when do y’all give a ■■■■ about people losing their jobs anyway? I seem to remember y’all didn’t give two shots about actual Keystone pipeline workers who did actually lose a job. You told them to learn how to code.
Yes, I read that article earlier. It does not answer my question. Putting solar programs on hold only cuts future potential jobs, it does not put any electricians out of work.
