Just look what they did to WoT. It was not an adaptation, it was a completely different story. Take what is the most popular fantasy IP out there, add woke, completely â â â â it up. LOTR is getting the same treatment. Bond wonât fare any better
Carnival Row was great. WoT was not the WoT, iit was the Wheel of Prime. The story was completely changed woke garbage.

Just a question
Have you ever read WoT or LOTR (The Silmarillion)? These shows were lore killing story changing messes. I like Fantasy shows, and I watched them because I do. For that aspect they are okay, but for the actual stories? Pure woke crap.
As a voracious reader of fantasy, sci-fi, and similar genres, I always approach TV or movie adaptations of books I have read with the mindset that the writers will take the core story or concept of the source material and add their own creative spin. I never go in expecting a faithful adaptation.
To temper my disappointments I use the mindset that the adaptation is a brand-new story, imagining the original source material doesnât exist.
This helps keep my expectations realistic and does enhance my enjoyment of watching a show or movie adapted from a book I am familiar with.
Oh, I know that adaptations are not completely faithful. They canât be, different medium. That does not mean its okay to tell a different story and give it the books name.

Agreed its not okay. Some adaptations have only a passing similarity (and thats being generous) to the source material so yes keeping the name is a tad disingenuous.
Stephen King said that most times when he options the rights to his novels he cashes the check and forgets about it.
Brian Keene said a similar thing, it results in a nice trip out to LA, expensive steak dinner, nice hotel, good bottle of whisky and then a discussion with producers who he knows after a few mins will either totally bastardize his work or have no idea of horror. But he still cashes the check

Quite possibly, Amazon has plans to create an entire Bondverse similar to what they were planning to do with The Citadel.
There is the possibility for some great stories especially expanding the 00 world to be told especially if they create seasons to run on Amazon while still churning out the movies.
I do not have a problem if Bond is played by a non white actor or a female but Bond has to stay British
