I got my flagging priveleges taken away, too. I tend to be really sensitive and sometimes quick to react, so it makes sense. I always PM a mod when I have issues with another user. It helps to have someone to bounce off the issue to get some perspective.
Why…Because that’s what mods are probably asking themselves.
So my advise for what it’s worth…is to have a great answer.

I will add, and I’m attempting to be respectful here, but the process in which someone gets their ability to flag posts back is very ambiguous. Not a time period or something measurable. I’ve gotten somewhat scornful responses like when you “earn” it. And that’s confusing. I think an actual explanation of what that guidelines are would be helpful.

Perpetual offenders typically claim to want “clarifications” in order to throw your own words back in your face at a later time. It’s always under the guise of “understanding better.”
“But you said XYZ.” Forum lawyering. Hall monitor complex. This is how some folks lost their privileges in the first place.

I miss the old days of seeing exactly just that. Very entertaining. Best for me was a now departed (not sure if he is dead but not here) who was arguing how a comma, period etc made a post not mean what he was accused of.

There’s still a couple of those types of idiots crawling around, and thankfully, we eventually got some mods with a social life who understood just how sad and pathetic that kind of theater really is.

Well sometimes people ask for clarification because we cannot see the difference between what is tolerated here and what seems exactly the same that gets people time outs. I’ve been on the Hannity forum iterations for 21 years, and now I honestly don’t know in certain situations what gets tolerated and what doesn’t sometimes. So a little clarity helps me. I don’t like getting time outs. But sometimes I literally don’t understand the rules. This would be a good one to start with. What is the process for someone requesting that they’re able to be able to flag posts as opposed to having to reach out to a mod via message. And what are the metrics I don’t think that’s a crazy question.

How am I stalking you? I posted in this thread. This thread has been here since July 31st. I added how I felt. You jumped in 30 minutes later. I’m not following you. I responded to something you posted. I don’t know what you think stalking is but I was trying to explain.

Specific members requesting clarification concerning lost privileges need to send a PM to the MODs with the question. We will respond, discuss and render our decision in the PM with the MODs and the member in question only. This thread is closed.
